National Cleaning and Beautification Tender Annulled to Ensure Transparency

The Minister for Environment, Climate, Energy and Natural Resources, Marie-May Jeremie, has announced the annulment of the National Cleaning and Beautification Services tender.

Speaking at a press conference this afternoon, Minister Jeremie stated that the decision, concerning services provided under the Landscape and Waste Management Agency (LWMA), was taken in the interest of the public and to ensure the utmost transparency in the procurement process for such contracts.

The Chief Executive Officer of LWMA, Shane Emilie, noted that over 700 bidders had expressed interest in the tender and confirmed that all participants will be formally notified of the annulment.

In the interim, LWMA has reassured the public that current contractors will not be affected and that services will continue uninterrupted.
