Minister Jeremie Meets African Development Bank Delegation

The Minister for Environment, Climate, Energy and Natural Resources, Marie-May Jeremie, met with a delegation of Senior Executives from the African Development Bank (AfDB) during their study visit to Seychelles from 23–27 February 2026.

The visit forms part of ongoing efforts to strengthen cooperation and dialogue between the AfDB and the Government of Seychelles. It also provided an opportunity for Seychelles to showcase its development progress, reforms, and the unique challenges it faces as a Small Island Developing State.

Discussions focused on the Bank’s active portfolio in Seychelles, the effectiveness of ongoing projects, development outcomes, and opportunities to enhance collaboration. The delegation also engaged with key ministries, implementing agencies, private sector representatives, and civil society organisations to assess coordination and identify areas for improved partnership and impact.

The meeting reaffirmed the strong partnership between Seychelles and the African Development Bank and underscored the shared commitment to advancing sustainable socio-economic development.
