Full Time Project Manager
The GOS-UNDP-GEF Programme Development and Coordination Section (PDCS) within the Ministry of Agriculture, Climate Change and Environment (MACCE) is implementing a GEF funded project entitled “Enabling the transition to a Blue and Green economy in the Seychelles.” The PDCS is currently seeking a Full Time Project Manager to carry out the following assignment:
- Responsible for the overall implementation and management of the project in accordance with UNDP-GEF guidelines.
- Coordinating with the project team in carrying out their duties at an optimum level through ensuring efficient and effective resource utilization;
- Evaluating and monitoring the risks to project implementation and managing these risks;
- Adherence to quality assurance requirements and maintaining accountability and transparency;
- Mobilizing and motivating the team of people involved in the project;
- Ensuring timely implementation of the project through ongoing stakeholder consultations and delivery through effective project management.
- Making sure the project delivers the expected outcomes and benefits;
- Submit a quarterly report, progress report and annual reports as required. Additionally prepare adhoc reports or as may be required for the project.
- Preparation of all key documentation including minutes of meetings; inception report; management responses and others as may be stipulated.
- Preparing and execution of procurement plans, annual work plans and ensuring budget utilization is in accordance with agreed plans.
The project duration is till February 2032

General Qualifications/Experience and Skills Required
Education:
An MSC in Environment, Blue Economy and Agriculture or other related fields. A BSc. Degree in relevant fields may be considered with a minimum of 3 years continuous experience and if the applicant has project management certifications.
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years in the field of environment, Blue Economy and/ Agriculture having familiarity with understanding of national legal and regulatory frameworks within these sectors.
- Must have demonstrated experience in Project Management. Advantage if candidate has experience in implementing donor funded projects.
- Demonstrated stakeholder engagement and ability to work with various state and non-state actors including private sector
- Demonstrated report writing and communication skills. Fluency in English is required, Creole and French is desirable.
- Be an effective negotiator with excellent oral and presentation skills; and
- Has working knowledge of the region, and challenges of SIDS in relation to environment.
- Knowledge of UNDP- donor funded projects would be an added advantage.
