On International Women’s Day, First Lady Veronique Herminie joined Minister Marie-May Jeremie to deliver an inspiring message to the women of the judiciary.
Both leaders shared personal insights into their journeys and the challenges they have overcome, offering words of wisdom to the women in attendance. The First Lady spoke about her experience of starting a family at a young age, returning to school part-time, and building her career. She encouraged everyone, saying:
“Let us learn to uplift each other. Celebrate each other through our smallest achievements, and most of all, let us be ourselves. Let us create our own success.”
Minister Jeremie emphasized the importance of self-awareness and self-respect, stating:
“Become so aware of who you are and what you represent that you become invincible. Build a relationship grounded in self-respect, self-awareness, and self-compassion. Celebrate your strengths without apology and acknowledge your vulnerabilities without shame.”
The event included a Q&A session where the audience engaged directly with the speakers, followed by light refreshments in the lobby of the Palais de Justice.
This celebration highlighted the strength, resilience, and leadership of the incredible women who continue to make a difference in Seychelles.
